Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Triumph at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Even though embarking on their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Missing key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next match against Finland's KuPS ought to be sufficient to seal straight entry to the last 16, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.
The Shelbourne side that had finished their domestic season were no match against a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee problems.

Pino Seals the Contest
The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
